Gyászos 46. hét - The week of mourning

Gobbi elment. Leírni is nehéz, hiszen része volt a napi kommunikációnak, valakinek az életének is. Több, mint egy évet töltött velünk, tacskó védencként. Mostanra elfáradt öreg, meggyötört teste, és a daganatok átvették az uralmat felette. Aljas módon, sokáig jelét sem adva annak, hogy a tüdő és az agy már érintett. Nem volt már lehetőség segíteni, el kellett őt engedni. Mégis nagyon nehéz leírni, mert bár ő azt hitte, hogy van, mégsem volt gazdája, nem talált rá az igazi. Számára IldiH és családja jelentette az otthont. Gobbi, fájó szívvel búcsúzunk, s emlékezni fogunk rád mindig. A fekete, harapós kanra, akit a nyíregyházi gyepmesteri telepről vettünk át felnőtt kölykeivel. S akiről kiderült, hogy egy tündéri, de félénk, rettentően elhanyagolt, daganatos szuka. Egy tündér, egy kis csoda.

Gobbi passed the river. It is hard to write about it as she was part of our daily communication routine, or for some of us she was part of their life. She spent more than a year with us in the care of our dachshund rescue group. Her old, anguished body got tired and tumours took over domination over it. There was no sign that even the lungs and brain are affected - it was so mean from life. There was no way of helping her, we had to let her go. It is hard to write, even though she tought that she had had, that she did not really have a family of her own. Nobody wanted her enough. For her it was Ildi and her family who meant "home". We say good-bye now but we will remember you forever. You were our black, biting male who had been taken over from the local dog pound of the city of Nyíregyháza with her adult son and daughter. And then it turned out that under the shabby fur there is a sweet, old female. A little miracle.

Furcsa módon Gobbi halálával helyet teremtett egy másik esélytelennek, akiről csak aznap este szereztünk tudomást: a III. kerületben találtak egy ezer éves, rövid szőrű, rendkívül rossz állapotban lévő tacskó kant. Alig bírt lábra állni, a karmai a mancsába nőttek, rendkívül lesoványodott. Kizárt, hogy valaki véletlenül elhagyta. A kivizsgálása folyamatban van, reméljük, hogy legalább pár boldog hónap még adatik számára is. Mivel ezt a kutyát a kennelsorra, de még más panzióba sem vihettük, segítséget kértünk. Senki... És még mindig senki... De délután, könnyeit letörölve IldiH jelezte: fogadja a veteránt. Hálás köszönet neki ezért is.

It is strange to say but Gobbi with her death made place for another chanceless one who was reported on the very same day. The million year old, neglected short-haired dachshund male was found in the 3rd District of Budapest. He could hardly stand up, his claws were grown into his paws and he was extremely thin. It is just not possible that somebody could lose him by accident. His examination is being done. We hope that he can have some more happy months. As this dog was not the one to move to a kennel or even to another dog pension, we asked for help... Nobody... and still: nobody... But in the afternoon, with her tears wiped off, Ildi informed us that the old dog is welcome at her home. We are more than grateful to her.

Ha már veteránok: Fidó bácsi ideiglenes befogadóhoz költözött Hatvanba, ahol a lakás puszta látványa éveket fiatalított rajta. Reménykedünk abban, hogy a kezdeti szeparációs ugatása enyhül, mert akkor örök életére meg lenne a helye... Fidó, viselkedj szépen, nagyon-nagyon kérünk!

And if we talk about our old-timers: Fido moved to a temporary family in Hatvan. He got years younger by the mere sight of the flat. We do hope that his separation barking will be solved soon as it would mean his finding a home for the rest of his life. Fido, please, try to behave nicely.

Nanni, a szálkás szőrű törpetacskó szuka átesett az ivartalanításon és Bogi barátja örökbe is fogadta őt. Innentől már Boo néven riogatja Budapest lakóit, és ő is készül mindenféle marketinges szerepekre.

Nanni, our wire-haired miniature dachshund was neutered and Bogi's friend adopted her. She is called Boo from now on and those who live in Budapest can meet her. She is also trying to get in marketing activities.
