Év végi hangulat, gyűjtögetünk - Year-end mood: we keep on collecting (47.)

Nehezen formálódnak a szavak így év vége felé, az embernek a munkahelyén is számos határidős munkával kell megküzdenie, hogy az év vége tisztára zárt lapokkal találja, s közben beköszöntött a hideg, a hó, az éjszakai mínuszok, amikor nincs idő várni: vagy azonnal megnyugató módon rendezzük egy-egy bejelentett kutya sorsát, vagy könnyen előfordulhat, hogy már nem tudunk segíteni.

It is hard to formulate words at the end of the year when you have to face with deadlines at your work in order to clear everything till the end of the year while the cold weather, snow, nigh minuses appear and there is no time to wait: either we settle the fortune of a dog reported or it can easily happen that we can no longer help.

Amikor egy fáradt, lesoványodott, reszkető testet a kezemben tartok, elgondolkodom azon, hogy miként képesek kutyák ezrei újra meg újra túlélni a zord telet úgy, hogy sokszor még csak egy tákolmány kutyaház sincs a fejük felett, s a lánc megakadályozza, hogy valahol, szélárnyékban, egy kis hóba kapart kuckóban átvészelhessék a mínuszokat.

When I hold a tired, thin, shaking little body in my arms, I try to imagine who hundreds of dogs are able to survive winter while they do not even have a makeshift dog house above their heads and their chains prevent them from living through all the minuses somewhere in a leeward place scratched into the snow.

Ez a hét is meghozta a maga megfáradt testét Demizson apó személyében, aki a váci gyepmesteri telepre került be, és szerencsére azonnal hírt kaptunk róla. Sajnos ideiglenes befogadót nem találtunk számára, de fűtött helyen, sok-sok törődéssel sikerült őt elhelyezni. Köszönet Szilvinek és párjának, hogy elrohantak értük, és a biztonságos átmeneti szállásért is. Demizson az első napokat gyakorlatilag alvással töltötte, de mostanra már összeszedte magát, és már egy kis udvarlást is megenged magának. Kivizsgáltatjuk, mert az idős kutyáknál már bármi gond lehet, de talán nem kell aggódnunk semmiért. Csak hát egy újabb öreg kutya...

This week brought its tired old body: Demizson who was taken into the dog pound of Vác and we got information on him within some days. We could not find a temporary family for him but he can still recover in a warm place where he gets the attention he needs. We would like to thank to Szilvi and her boy-friend who ran to pick him up and of course for the cosy shelter they provided him with. Demizson spent his first some days with sleeping but by now he has pulled himself together and started squiring. Examinations are being done as old dogs can have any problem but we think we might not need to worry. But he is still another old dog...

Aztán termett az egyik leghidegebb éjszakán egy szálkás szőrű tacskó keverék kanocskánk is. Telefonon kaptunk bejelentést egy sérült tacskóról, nem tehettük meg, hogy nem segítünk. Alapesetben a fajtamentés a fajtatiszta kutyáról szól, de úgy gondolom, hogy egyrészről nem kockáztathatjuk, hogy egy ilyen bejelentésre ne reagáljunk valamilyen módon, másrészről egy kutya, ha sérült és a fagyos éjszakában egyedül kellene túlélnie, mindenképpen segítségre szorul. Ugyan helyünk nem volt, és nincs azóta sem, s nem szeretném, ha az egyensúly véglegesen a keverékek felé billenne el, de arról, hogy a "tacskó fogalom" olyan, amilyen: nem én tehetek. Minden kutya tacskó, ami alacsony, görbe lábú, lógó fülű. Ebben a környezetben kell a fajtamentést szerveznem, ezért lesznek mindig keverékeink is. Meg azért is, mert valahol ők is tacskók. Az ő létrejöttükhöz is kellett az ősök között legalább egy tacskó. S tekintve a "köznyelvi" tacskó fogalmat, simán legyártanak "nekem" egy-egy újabb almot ezektől az áltacskóktól.

We also collected a wire-haired dachshund mix male on one of the coldest nights so far. We were called that an injured dachshund was in urgent need so we could not do anything but help. Breed rescue should originally go about pure breed dogs but I think that we cannot risk not to react to such a call in any way, moreover if an injured dog had to survive a night when the weather is very cold, it needs and deserves help. This time we had no place and I must admint that we still have no place at all and I do not want to lose balance to dachshund mixes but I should not be blamed for the "dachshund idea" as it is at the moment in Hungary. All dogs that are small, have curved little legs and floppy ears are dachshunds. I have to organise breed rescue in this context so we will always have dachshund mixes. And that because they have some dachshund in them, too. Just for their mere existence there must have been a real dachshund somewhere in the bloodline. And if I go back to our everyday "dachshund idea", these mixes would happily be used to produce another couple of puppies that are "casual dachshunds".

Sürgősen keressük az eredeti gazdáját, vagy egy elkötelezett és jó idegrendszerű ideiglenes befogadót, aki szeretne egy maximum egy éves, kicsit hisztis, neveletlen, láb melletti kisurranásban járatos tacskó keveréket maga mellé, akit kicsit rendbe szedne, szocializálna, nevelgetne, ne habozzon. But back to the point... I mean "Pont". We are looking for his original owner at the moment but also a very dedicated, balanced temporary family is looked for who would like to take care of a maximum one year old, a little hissy, boorish dachshund mix who is the best at sneaking out the door by your leg. Education, socialisation would be needed. If you think you can handle him, please contact us at info@futrinkautca.hu. There would be great to find a temporary or an adopting family for Pont. As it was really pointless to collect a new dog while we are operating on our burning-point anyway. But there he is... The whole point is himself: Pont.

De hogy ne csak szomorú híreket hozzak, volt két szerencsés ebünk is, aki mostanra már gazdisnak tekintheti magát - reményeim szerint végleg.
Trufa, a rövid szőrű tacskó szuka megkezdte próbaidejét új gazdájánál Szolnokon. A visszajelzések alapján az első időszak nem telik problémamentesen, mert Trufa lakberendez, és ha egyedül marad, ugat. Reméljük, hogy sikerül a gazdának ezeket a roblémákat türelemmel, szeretettel és egy kis szakértelemmel orvosolni.

But also good news can be announced. We managed to place two of our dogs so I hope they can live in their new families till the end of their life.
Trufa started her new life with her new owner in Szolnok. The first feedbacks refers to a not really trouble free start as she started indoor designing and if let alone she cannot stop barking. But we do hope that these problems can be solved with patience, love and a little expertise.

A csodálatos, de fél szeme miatt senkinek nem kellő Sekli kutyánk is új otthonra lelt végre. Egy szálkás szőrű tacskó szuka mellett fog élni, akivel az első perctől jól kijönnek. Sekli azóta folyamatosan játszana, futkározna. Az új gazdáknak türelmet kívánunk hozzá. Reméljük, hogy végleges otthont nyújtanak ennek a kiegyensúlyozott szépségnek, nagyon megérdemelné.

The beautiful but one eyed Sekli found his new home, too. He will share his life with a wire-haired dachshund female with whom he gets on well with. Sekli wants to play and run around all the time. We wish the new owners enough patience to survive this period. It would be good to know that Sekli found his family for the rest of his life. He would deserve that.

Tigris, a siófoki állatvédőktől átvett rövid szőrű tacskó keverék szuka ideiglenes befogadóhoz költözhetett, ami számára hatalmas lehetőséget jelentett, hiszen a kennelsoron rettentően fázott. Végre melegben várakozhat új gazdájára, aki már annyival többet fog tudni róla, hogy Tigris szépen viselkedik a lakásban és szobatiszta, de pórázon más kutyákat hajlamos megugatni, hörcsögösködni, pedig egyébként minden kutyával jól kijön.

Tigris, our short-haired dachshund mix female who had been taken over from the shelter of Siófok, moved to a temporay family. This was a really big step for her as she got really frozen in the kennel. Now she can wait for her end family in a warm and loving surrounding. We have additional information on her, too: she is housebroken and behaves nicely in the house but while on the leash she tends to act like a "pitbull": barking at the others while without the leash she is compatible with all.

A tacskó védencek közül is ketten ivartalanítódtak. Ladár, a hét éves szálkás szőrű tacskó kanra most került sor, eddig mindig hátrasorolódott. Sajnos, bár alapvetően a szálkás szőrű tacskókra nagyobb az érdeklődés, őt nem akarja senki örökbefogadni, és ideiglenes befogadója sem akadt. Azért nem adjuk fel, keressük a tökéletes családot számára is. Ha valaki esetleg őt szeretné, csak és kizárólag őt, ne habozzon...

Two of our dachshunds were castrated. Ladár's operation was postponed till this point but now he had to go through it, too. Even though there is a higher demand for wire-haired dachshunds, this 7 years old wire-haired is not really wanted... We do not give up, we keep on searching for the perfect family for him. But if someone feels to fall in love with him, just give us a call...

A bonyhádi gyepmesteri telepről combcsont-törötten érkezett, szálkás szőrű tacskó ősökkel is rendelkező keverék kanocska, Parittya is megoperálódott. Őt már egy örökbefogadó jelölt család várja, ahová a varratszedést követően költözhet majd. Addig Porca gazdiék gondoskodását élvezi.

Parittya, who had been rescued from the dog pound of Bonyhád with his femur broken, was also operated. There is a potential family waiting for him where he can move after removing the stiches from the wound of castration. But in between he can still have fun at the house of Porca's owners.

Egyesületünk idén is megszervezi már szokásosnak mondható karácsonyi ajándékozását, melynek keretében minden évben fiatalokkal foglalkozó szervezetek pártfogoltjait lepjük meg. Az idei ajándékozásra 2010. december 12-én kerül sor Nádocson, a Reménység Alapítványnál, ahol nevelőszülőknél élő gyermekek és az utógondozási programban részt vevő fiatal-felnőttek számára gyűjtöttünk karácsonyi támogatókat. Szerencsére - most már elmondhatjuk - mindenki kaphat ajándékot, sőt, aktív kismamánknak, kyticének köszönhetően az intézményi csomag is bővebb lesz, mint az elmúlt években, hiszen most nem csak magánszemélyek adományai, hanem néhány, általa megkeresett cég, felajánlása is a virtuális intézményi karácsonyfa alá kerülhet.

Our Association organises its traditional Christmas programme in which we give presents to young people who are in the care of another non-profit organisation. This year's Christmas event will be on the 12th of December 2010 in Nádocs. We chose the kids and youngsters who live in foster families and those who are in the after-school rehabilitation programme under the umbrella of "Reménység" Foundation. We now can state that all individuals will be presented with something and due to the great work of our hyperactive and pregnant member, kytice the pack that is to be given to the institute would be much bigger than in the last some years as this time not only private persons donated something to it but some firms offered their products that can also be put under the virtual Christmas tree of Reménység Foundation.

(Ez nála nem szokás mostanában, úgyhogy ez igen nagy dolog.)

We thank for all you left no stone unturned in order to help our kids. Our wild rioters were touched by your Christmas action a lot, one of them will even recite a poem in the programme. (This is very uncommon from him nowadays and it is a really big thing.)
